Where to begin?! Photographing Kelsey & Devan's lovely wedding (and engagement session!) was extra fun because of the history we have with them. Devan was Jeff's basketball coach his senior year in high school- over four years ago! When Kelsey & Devan got engaged, he told his fiancé that he knew of the perfect photographers for their day- and they set up a meeting with us at the local Starbucks. After a detailed and fun consultation with the two of them and her parents, everything was confirmed and we knew it was a perfect match!
First looks completely have our hearts, but they aren't always with the Bride & Groom. Kelsey choose to have a sweet moment with her Father pre-ceremony where he would see her for the first time before walking down the aisle. And oh my goodness, it's so hard to beat these sweet moments.
Then, the ceremony! Oakley Farms is a beautiful tucked-away location deep in Moncks Corner. We love the little details & touches that not only decorated the reception barn, but also the ceremony location! Perfect rustic charm meets classic country.
Our favorite moments are the the candids between events, but there is a time and place for both! We especially love the radiant faces of Kelsey & Devan now that they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Standing next to their family & best friends, this couple absolutely shined.
If the details in the ceremony weren't gorgeous enough, we l o v e the thought and simply gorgeous southern charm added to the reception barn! It was a instant win/win for us when we saw the unique light that poured in through the back of the rustic wood siding. The reception was just another moment that proved how down-to-earth Kelsey & Devan are. They planned for a Glowstick exit, but everyone was so excited to bid them farewell that they continued to stop along the way to take photos and hug their friends & family. Friends & family was a constant theme throughout their wedding, so seeing them so genuine, even at the end of the night, was so sweet.
As we always say, our favorite part of the wedding is when we can sneak away the bride and groom for a few special shots of just the two of them. We had only five minutes with Kelsey & Devan, but it right during the perfect golden- hour sun. Also their chemistry is absolutely perfect.
Just can't get enough of this sweet, sweet couple! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lawerence!
