Anna & David kicked off our year as the first 2016 wedding for us this year! We've been having so much fun with brides & grooms all over the South this spring, so we are just now getting to blog this beautiful day- and boy, are we excited to share it with you! This super fun, Texas-inspired wedding is definitely one for inspiration, so grab your cowboy boots and join us for the ride!
April 22nd, 2016. The perfect day for a wedding. Bright blue skies, hardly a raincloud in sight. The South Carolina air was warm & muggy, but there was a subtle summer breeze from the lake. Stepping onto the plantation that day felt just like stepping into the Texas countryside. Hay and cowboy boots were scattered across the venue, strategically placed to make guests feel right at home immediately. Of course, there was more to see than country charm- Anna & her girls completely stole the show!
We started our day out at the little barn house immediately inside of the plantation. But that's just where the fun began!
In more ways then just dress and hair, Anna put her own touches on the Pavilion at Pepper Plantation in perfect DIY fashion. From gorgeous rustic touches to southern lacey charm, Pepper Plantation really felt like a cowboy's getaway for the night.
Don't even get us started on the ceremony!
One fun and unique fact about Anna & David's Reception- It started off with a country-inspired line dance, which was taught to all of the wedding guests and performed to (near) perfection. Never before have we seen a group line dance done at a wedding! What followed was dancing and speeches and drinks galore!
Of course, our absolute favorite part of any wedding is those moments we get to sneak the bride and groom away for photos of just the two of them. Let's be real- weddings are fun, but also exhausting! Capturing photos of just the new Mr. & Mrs. gives them a break to relax and talk with each other- and easily produces some of the best photos of the day! Plus, David and Anna were just so contagiously fun. Their personality together is undeniably adorable, and we loved having a few moments to focus on the two of them.
